An exciting Demand Planning role is available working for our client, a worldwide manufacturing company, based at their Derby office.
Role Profile
- Generate and maintain a rolling 12 month demand forecast at multiple forecasting levels
- Use the main forecast to determine safety stock volumes and interface forecasts to the purchasing team on a weekly basis
- Maintain target company service levels while reducing the overall stock valuation through efficient planning
- Manage new product introductions for the Demand Planning team
- Continually review and manage slow moving and obsolete stock
- Convert volume forecasts to financial forecasts, for management reviews, when required
- Validate all forecasting and MRP order data, before interfacing to the business
Candidate Requirements
- At least 3 years experience of working as a Demand or Supply Planner
- Demonstrable analytical experience in a planning/forecasting environment
- S&OP experience, ideally being involved in setting up or leading the S&OP process
- MRP system experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work off own initiative and challenge data, market assumptions
